They look so, so good. Ian and his dad did such a great job. I know they probably want to kill me because it was back-breaking work, but I really think they did a much better and more careful job than a crew from Home Depot would have done. And it saved us a ton of money. (And I promise I helped!)

It did end up taking longer than any of us anticipated, but part of that was underestimating how long the prep work would take (it’s not just ripping up carpet).

I’m going to post a detailed entry on the entire experience soon. To warn people, if anything.

No matter what any handyman or YouTube video tells you, this is a huge, huge undertaking. But now we have a badass floor.
